| Friction you want to remove | What to look for | Trade-off to keep visible |
|---|---|---|
| Too many purchase choices | A clear list of included benefits and a short list of relevant options | A minimal base plan may omit a service you expect. |
| Repeated paperwork | Reusable records access and clear invoice requirements | The insurer can still ask for new clinical information. |
| Advancing a large clinic bill | A verified hospital-payment arrangement | Direct payment depends on the hospital and eligible claim. |
| Remembering policy tasks | One accessible file and clear renewal/payment notices | Automatic billing does not mean renewal terms never change. |
Pick the friction that actually affects you. Someone who dislikes configuring extras may prefer fewer choices, while someone who wants precise control may find a customizable offer easier. Neither preference proves that the underlying insurance is more generous.
Do not measure simplicity by the number of screens alone. Read the final benefit summary and identify the largest expense that could remain yours. If you cannot explain that limitation, the purchase is not yet simple enough.
